New owner... Suggestions

Just bought a 03gt, 5spd and I was wondering where I should start with some mods... CAI, BBK Plenum, etc... Any suggestions would be appreciative.. Also what gear ratio, comes in these? The older ones had 2.73's.... Thx again..

you have 3.27 r&p. You should first do 3.73 or 4.10 gears and dallas speed cal, then high flow mid pipe and cat back. Next plenum and t/b and then cams.

Quick question.

I was told by a few people to put 3.90s on my stang.

Why doesnt anyone have them on theirs?

Was I misinformed and 3.90s dont even fit on 8.8s?

1) High flow catback system (Magnaflow), K&N air filter. Don't worry about a cold air induction system, the filter will do.

2) Short throw shifter, gears, 75mm Throttle Body.

It is called a twin screw (Kenne Bell), short throw shifter, and exhaust. I would stay away from the CAI unless you are going for looks, but you could lose some performance, I know I did with mine. And congradulations on the stang. As for gears, a lot of people do them, but I feel the 3:27 are just fine. Unless you are going to track the car a lot (in which case a 3:73 would be good). What ever you do, I just want to let you know that you are not going to be able to stop buying stuff, it is a vicous(sp?) cycle. Have fun and keep it shiny side up.

Engine wise I started out with weld in mufflers, I wish I would have used that flow for cat-back with bigger pipes, any how then I got a K&N, Steeda Pulleys, My Shaker that might not do anything hp wise (CDC claims 2% or maybe its 2hp?), I just put on a 75mm Accufab combo (havent dyno'd it with that yet) any how thats all pretty basic stuff for the HP I've gained I'm quite happy.
