took like over a month but it was worth it.

black with a coat of blue metallic. dual ghost racing stripes using the blue metallic. 4 coats of clear.

shaved the antena and the ford emblem on the back. I still have to put my emblems back on the sides and the hood pin plates. and cleaning off all the dust...oh boy...

you can see how the stripes are ghost here

you can see how thick they are on the hood, from the back of the hood they go straight back over the roof and the deck lid/spoiler

thats my dad's 57 chevy in the reflection of my car....i love this pic.

here you can see the blue metallic in the rest of the car.

and a close up of the color of the stripes when the light is right on it.

I'll have more full car shots when i get it out of my garage, but its raining out so to h3ll with for right now.

you paint that yourself?? is that a grainy camera shot or do the blue metallic ghost stripes have like an appearance of .... crap not a solid color but like a brush pull thru it.... or like a nefty uneven grain... i dunno how to explain what i see, but it doesn't seem to be a solid . ..if you did it, fill us in

The pic with the reflection of the classic really shows the quality of work. I wish someone could show me how to get absolutely zero orange peel. I had the same idea as well, but with ghost flames done with flake in the clear (no flake in the rest of the car).

it is a solid ghost line. just tape off like you would for normal stripe then just use the metallic. the camera i use is really sensitive to motion when the flash is off. so that is why they look a little weird/grainy.

here are a couple that i took outside, but it the sun was going down. i'll see if i can get some good ones this weekend.

That's a TON of work, but it does work. Good painters can get almost no orange peel when they spray the paint.

Oh yeah, Badass paint job!

So did you do that yourself?
Crazy man, looks killer(no pun intended)
Will you PM me and let me know what hood pins you have? I want to get some but like others I am afraid they will rust out. What did you do to treat yours (if anything)? Have you ever had any rusting problems?
I want to know this because I dont want to have any regrets after drilling some holes in my hood.
Thanks in advance,
-fawcett

I'm gonna probably kill off a few friends here
but I love that look for one simple reason: it's subtle.
SUBTLE!

not to say that I don't see stripes on other cars, and not like them.
Nobody's car is really sharp to list off one car at the top of my head.

But I really like that. Good choice
