Just added the 2 1/8" Ford Racing shift knob and adapter. It's a big improvement over stock.

Added the Steeda K frame brace yesterday. With this and the strut tower brace and lowering springs equals a noticeable tighter handling in the curves. Install was 15 minutes.

Added the K&N drop in air filter. Had really good results with them on other rides as far as better mileage and throttle response. Plus it's a life time filter. I'll update you on results.

Ok - unscientific impressions:
Throttle response - 50% better
Exhaust note - deeper and outside temp warmer than yesterday
No more stumble around 2500 rpms when motor is warning up.
Acceleration- better. Stayed with my normal hard acceleration mode and it does pull harder thru out the rpm range.
Gas mileage- too early to tell.
So far worth the money. I found a Steeda video where they used a 2005 Mustang GT with their own K&N style drop in and it added almost 6 rwhp.
I'll update you on gas mileage.

2 weeks and 250 miles later just about 1 teaspoon of oil in the UPR oil catch can.

I've been considering some of the same mods. How is the difference in the ride quality? Did it get much harsher?

Very little difference in ride quality at all. The ford racing street springs are progressive so a smooth ride then they stiffen as you get into hard cornering. Add the strut tower brace and the k brace and the front end tightens up. I'm planning to add the Steeda rear sway bar to finish it out.
It handles so much better now but doesn't it beat you up.

Thanks 15COPP.
I decided to remove the 5.0 plenum cover. I like the cleaner look and it will dissipate heat better.

Just added the Roush Axel backs and they are simply amazing. I'm running a Ford Racing X pipe and it is loud but totally controlable with your left foot.
It' has a deep and a very aggressive exhaust note.
Sorry my video is 60+ meg. and is too large to upload.

No more sound tube. I didn't have all the necessary tools 1/4" ratchet, extension, universal, and a 10 mm deep socket to remove the one bolt. However a good friend from work had it and removed it for me. This link helped.

Installed MMD hood struts from American Muscle. Install directions were very vague but AM came thru and helped out with more details. Great customer service.

Just added the Hurst 2.25" white shifter knob. I like it better than the Ford Racing one because it sets much lower.
