This is a continuation from my "in progress" thread. Go here to see the in progress pics: http://forums.stangnet.com/showthread.php?t=629828

When I bought my car in February of 2005, I had a vision in my head of what I wanted it to be on the outside..... and that vision has finally become reality. I finally got the new stripes installed and snapped off a few pics to share with ya'll. The stripes were from Graphic Express. Mach 1 hood stripe in Matte Black, and the side stripes are 40th Anniversary-style side stripes in Matte Black. I went with the 40th Anniversary-style because they mimicked the Mach 1 side stripes in height and spacing, but without the Mach1 name in the stripe.

Thanks for all the compliments guys. I've also gotten alot of looks, stares, and compliments around town as well. The best of them came from the owner of a Mach 1, said it looked great.

As for the future plans, some nice shiny exhaust tips are definitely next on the list... probably by the end of the summer. Want to get a decent sounding cat-back exhaust with some shiny rolled tips. The new bumper really accentuates the crappy stock tips.

The semi-gloss rear spoiler, i'm still debating. Originally, that was part of the plan. But, seeing everything now and how it all works well together, i'm very unsure if I want to do that or not. Anyone in the San Diego area got a spare black spoiler lying around that I can try on for a few days???

Styling bar... absolutely not. I've never been a fan of the styling bar at all. I've only seen one 'vert on this site that looked decent with the styling bar, but that's it. I know that they help to stiffen the convertible a little bit, but to me it's not worth it. When I have the top down, I want nothing obstructing my top down experience... just open sky from the top of the windshield to the leading edge of the trunk.

Nice looking car, grey looks cool on mustangs. I like the shaker too, only thing holding me back from getting one is the price.

I was just going to suggest some new exhaust tips. You should get some nice 3.5" rolled tips.

Wow, that is absolutely beautiful. In my opinion, the black spoiler would just be too much on a mineral grey Mustang. But that IS just my opinion. I definitely can't speak anything against your GT 'cos wow, it's a true beauty in motion! I wish I was still in Huntington Beach so I could drive to your locale and check it out! I bet it's even better in person.

Only thing I'd be concerned with is, sure it looks great with the top down but how about with the top up? Does it retain the same "awesome!!" factor?

Your car looks great. Just add some deep dish mach 1 wheels on the rears. That would be sweet.

I'll get a photo of the car with the top up. In my opinion, it doesn't really loose much of the "awesome" factor due to the black top... fits well with the black/grey theme.

I'm not a big fan of the deep dish Mach 1 rims... I love the look of DD Bullitts and even FR500s, but I don't feel that the style of the Mach 1 rims lends itself well to being a Deep Dish rim.
