well my lil bro has been trying to get rid of his 96 mystic chrome cobra for like two months. well we finally got rid of it. it had forged internals, 11:1 compression, 4.10 gears, 2001 cobra heads, off road h-pipe, and lowered. the problem was he didnt know when to play and when not to. we drove to jamestown, tn from new orleans, la. the trip took 27 1/2 hours but this is what we got. 1999 s-10, regular cab, 4cyl, 5spd, shaved doors, tailgate and rollpan, tail lights, thhird brake light. interior is imaculate, never smoked in, new headlights, caddy tail lights, 20" rims, full air ride. this will keep him out of trouble. what you guys think. i might save some money and get me one too. ive wanted one for a long time.

only problem

my lil bro is only about 5' 7"

Good for your bro. I don't like it much, the front bumper seems like it doesn't fit, and it looks dented pretty good in the rear, headlights look cheap, and the chrome mirrors are tacky. I'm a fan of lowered/slammed trucks though. Cool tail lights.

Anyways, if thats what your bro likes and if it will keep him out of trouble; good for him.

Sorry I don't like it. To me trucks are suppose to be raised and have big tires not big rims.

Not my thing...but if he likes it, then thats all that matters. He just needs to ditch the mirrors, and fix those dents in the rear....and maybe figure out how to get the front bumper to fit better.

I just dont know how he can go from a built cobra to a 4 banger S10...I would be dying from lack of power. I just cant switch gears like that...I would have to get something that was atleast "quick" or I would just be board.
Heh maybe he could install a train horn....now that would make it much more fun

Not my style, but if you're stoked on it... Cool!

Does that thing have adjustable hydrolics (sp?) or something? Looks like its at different heights in some pictures?

Not to bad of a truck. S-10's have beautiful body lines and are perfect for body kits and things like that. The truck does need some work and I say go for it. Good luck with it. Pearl02.

Not exactly my cup of tea , I had a friend get rid of his mystic cobra and has regretted it since. On the other hand with some diff wheels , ditch the mirrors and lights for stock ones , throw on a cowl hood , and drop in a LT/LS1 and id rock it.

Mini-trucks rule if done right. If that were my truck, I would change a few things... but it's not so as long as he is happy with it, thats whats important as he can change stuff on it also.

But damn, those disks look TINY up front...
