stock heads? I wouldn't even get a TB. No larger than 65mm if you really want to get one. For the MAF meter, I'd go with a C&L 73 or 76mm or a Pro-M 75mm.

This car was bone stock when you got it?

On a budget? do the junkyard upgrade...

Gears - 87-88 T-Bird Turbo Coupe rear axle - disc brakes and 3.55 or 3.73 gears in one package for $125-$300. Add another $100-$200 or so to complete the brake upgrade.

94-95 Mustang GT MAF - $40-$100. It is 70 MM instead of the stock 55 MM on regular stangs built prior to 94. It uses a slip on duct on the side that goes to the throttle body and a 4 bolt flange on the other. You need a $25-$35 flange adapter from Pro-M to fit the stock slip on air ducting that goes to the air box. Wiring plugs right in with no changes. *1

95-97 Ford Explorer intake manifold & throttle body $150-$300. The intake manifold flows 220 CFM +, much better than stock. Throttle body is 65 MM, bigger than the 60 MM on stock stangs. I got a 96 with EGR passages that match the stock setup, so my smog gear works just like factory. You’ll need a 65 MM EGR spacer & new gaskets for $65-$90 so you have a place to mount the EGR & throttle linkage.

3G alternator from 94-95 Mustangs or other Ford. $20-$120. A must have to make the electrical system work like it should. You’ll need a 4 gauge power wire and a 125-135 amp fuse to go with it about $15- $30.

Lincoln MK VIII electric fan -$40-$160. Free up some HP by not having to drive the stock fan. The 3G alternator upgrade is a must have prerequisite before you do the MK VIII fan. You won’t have enough electrical power if you don’t do the 3G upgrade.

*1.) Pro-M has revised their website lately, but here's what I found for the MAF adapter flange.

http://performancepartsmall.com/detail.asp?id=224 plastic adapter

http://performancepartsmall.com/detail.asp?id=223 metal adapter.

I got a metal one from Powered by Ford for $35 and tax. That was about a year ago.

Def. get gears(3:73), shifter, pulleys, and Mass Air meter. Right now you dont really need injectors or a T/B yet. Like you, I started with a stock mustang with only Mass air kit and full exhaust...ran a 14.6 Installed an intake, pulleys, shifter and mass air meter...13.9. The stock shifter's are horrible. I was going to tell u to get crazy and go with a 200 shot of nitrous, but you have a 93 which isnt a good idea with those hypertec pistons. There was a guy I met at the track that had a 91 notch stock everything except for big fuel pump, 24lb. injectors, 3:90's, cold air, 200 shot, 70mm T/B, slicks, and shifter... high 11's. Thats pretty good for a stock block and internals. Cheap too

All of what Jrichker said plus I would recommend getting an Accufab 75mm TB since the Trickflow Street Heat's opening is just that. Definetly go with at least 3.73 gears 76mm mass air for 24# injectors...

You do not need bigger injectors...get a Pro-M 75mm MAF calibrated for your 19lb injectors and recalibrate it later for the 24/30lb injectors when and if you do the heads/cam...

Get a 65mm throttle body...and some 373's...

Since you already have an intake you won't need the Explorer intake...

If you going to do the heads/cam pretty soon just wait and do it all at once...to save you some hassle...but if it is going to be a while then go for it now...

Good Luck with it...

Well to get 350-400rwhp your going to need that 347 stroker to maintain any driveability without any poweradder (supercharger, turbo, nitrous)...

You could make a nice streetable car (I drive mine everyday) with your 302 but you will have about 300rwhp/330rwtorque which is good for low 12's @108-110mph...

www.dssracing.com has some nice 347's built up...check them out...it can get expensive...

Yea I agree with 5spd. I would stay away from a 75mm T/B. Just because the inlet on your intake is that big, doesnt mean you need the same size T/B. Until you get inot a power adder or a serious motor, I wouldnt go higher than a 65 or 70 at most. And 1500$ isnt too much, youll see. This hobby can easily be labeled an addiction. I got my car and said I would just put a cold air and exhaust on. Didnt happen. Good luck with it though. This is the place to come for questions, theres alot of knowledge on here.
