Hey Guys,

Just bought my first mustang last week.. a 1982 GLX.. it's in rough condition paint wise but the engine is in almost perfect condition. I'm working on getting pictures together. SOon I'll be starting in on my hop ups.. so far I'm having a blast just driving it and putting some imports to shame! Good fun.

ANyways, just sayin hey.

Welcome to the boards. I assume your GLX has a 3.8L V6 am I right. You should upgrade to the 8.8" diffy before you buy gears. There isnt much point in spending money on 7.5.

Any q's just ask that's what we are here for.

Nope, the GLX has the 5.0 Litre! A blast to drive.. but yesterday I drove over a curb at a tim horton's drive through.. and damaged my exhaust badly... now the car sounds like crap and accelerates worse...

Exhaust is no biggie. There's so many bolt on parts it's hard not to have whole thing replaced.
