Well I thought i would replace them both but when i removed my tb last night i found that one of the butterfly screws was stripped out and the butterfly was loose. Im going to retap the threads and reassemble it and if that doesnt fix it then i will be replacing the cable. Thanks for the input, I contacted ford and they have it in stock for 89.00, so if the fix doesnt work, ill be getting the cable. Has anyone ever swapped out their cable before?
I think 5.0 resto has them for 50.00 or so...a trip to a salvage yard would score one for under 10.00 i bet???
the cables tit to remove...pop/push out the plastic clip on your pedal...undo the 2 bolts on the fire wall, then the bolt in the throttle bracket...5 minutes tops, your done...I just swapped in a fox TB set-up on my 95 and had to replace the cables..
