i have seen a pic of it, but never IRL. it is supposed to be like the felt from back in the day. it is a barrier between the glass and door components. pretty much a "guide" if you will, helps stop the in and out movement as the window goes up and down. apparently, ford did not design enough clearance into the door, and when you tint the windows, it gets scratched when the window goes up and down.alfman9 said:That looks darker than 30% to me?

I just had mine done and trying to keep the doors legal, which is 35% here in NC, so the tinter could only put 40% on the doors. It then tested at 35%. I said screw legal on the back and went 20% on the back 3.
i would suggest contacting a tint shop in your area. maybe they can tell you about it. they should know what it is, and how to use it.alfman9 said:Ive had 15 on all of my previous cars and they looked about the same
