Hey Everyone,
As a gift from the rents they bought me my cousins Mustang. He never used it and owns 4 other cars so he sold it to them for dirt cheap ($2,000 with 70,000 mils). Its a 1994 5.0L HO Convertable Black on tan. I know a little about cars, but still have a lot to learn. I have a few questions for people if they wouldn't mind helping me out. The car is completely stock.

1. How much Horse Power do I have (what does the HO mean).

2. Its Automatic, I hate Automatic, can I change it to 5 speed? If so how much will it cost me.

3. What should I do to make it faster, like what steps should I take (what first: Intake, Pullies, Headers, ECU that kind of stuff).

4. Needs new headlights, where can I get them online?

5. Any other suggestions tips you guys might have for me would be great, thanks!

your '94 5.0 puts out about 215 horse at tha fly completely stock... the first things you should add are gears to make it quicker

the the air silencer (if it is still there in the fender well), give it a tune up, larger MAF and TB. (all things you can do yourself, thus saving you some money as you save for bigger items H/C/I...

Welcome to the expensive path all the rest of us are on in varying degrees.

Your first major mod should probably be gears. I recommend 3.73 which is a good all around gear, and will work with your auto, and will be even better if you swap to 5 speed.

After that, start on the restrictions. Mass air, TB (throttle body), and exhaust and possibly upgraded fuel system in preperation for later upgrades.

then you can work on it more with h/c/i (heads/cam/intake)

if you still want more, then you can either stroke it out, or get power adders (turbo, superchargers, nitrous)

Good luck, save up, and enjoy!!
