hey, i'm new here and i'm probably getting a 1995 mustang gt this weekend, stock, 80k miles, and in pretty nice condition... i am just wondering, i will have about $1000 for mods, what are some good choices to get to start off with? do any problems occur with these cars that i should take cars of? Thanks. :hail2:

Welcome, you'll love this 94-95 board :D The Corral is good too.

I'd get 3.73 gears, then spend the rest of the money doing serious tune-up stuff. Pickup a Haynes and/or Chilton's manual too, those things are invaluable. You'll be much happier knowing you're in good shape I think.

I'g go with gears then tune up too. Get some 3.73's put in it, then get some new plug wires, spark plugs, distributer cap and rotor, and probably wouldnt hurt to do an oil change too.

Just to give you an idea,,,havent had my car a year yet and I've put on the following parts...

Necessary Parts: Tires, Passenger Tie Rod End, Fuel Pump, ECT Sensor, New Hoses, New Thermostat, New Battery, New IAC Valve, Headlight Switch,

Not necessary but needed: H-Pipe (other one was rusting bad), New mufflers,

Still needs: Shocks, Springs (previous owner cut the stock ones, rides bad), and Im having a hell of a cooling problem right now (hogging up the board with my other posts)

Good luck with the car though, they can be a lot of fun..
