Hey guys, I purchased a 2000 Mustang GT 5-Speed last Monday, and this forum was recommended to me. I've been lurking a bit for the past few days and everyone here seems to be pretty cool and knowledgeable, so I'm looking forward to posting here. Anyways, here are pics of my new baby, which I have been enjoying so much for the short time that I have owned her:

Sorry for the crappy cellphone quality, but it's the best you'll get right now. Anyways, I am loving the car and haven't had this much fun with any of the cars I've had in my life. I have plans for it, and I'll list a few just to entertain you guys:

-SLP Loudmouth I exhaust system
-SLP shortened X-pipe
-Long tube headers
-Steeda Tri-Ax short shifter
-Steeda CAI
-Steeda underdrive pulleys
-FRPP 4.10 gears
-03/04 Black Cobra 5-spoke wheels (17x9 front/17x10.5 rear)
-NITTO Extreme Performance NT555R Drag Radial (275 front/315 rear)
-03/04 Cobra front bumper/hood
-Bullitt suspension
-Smoked headlights (as seen on later Mustangs)

Those are just some general plans that come to mind. No lie, it will be a long time before all of them are performed, but the first mod I am planning on is the SLP Loudmouths. Also, if you guys have any criticisms or suggestions regarding my list of mods, feel free. I am new to the Mustang world, so my knowledge is limited about them.

I'm looking forward to learning a lot here and meeting some fellow Mustang GT owners. Good to be part of the community!

Sweet, another 2000 model... nice lookin car.

As far as the mods, they sound good... only reccomendation is if the first thing you do is exhaust, do the gears as the next thing. Gears and full exhaust (longtubes and x pipe included) will make the biggest difference.

And you might as well prepare to replace the intake manifold sometime soon, lol.

BurningRubber, that was my general plan.

And to 2000, I believe that the previous owner had the spoiler moved back, because I noticed it seems to stick out more than the regular GT wing. Could just be me, though.

Welcome to:SNSign: ...Very clean stang u got there...As far as the mods list, I think u got some good plans, but the only thing I would do different is the Bullit suspension kit...The struts/shocks, & sway bars are good, but the springs dont lower the car enough imo...I would get at least an eibach pro kit, or H&R supersports if u wanna go a little lower... Now that i look at it a little closer, it looks like your car has already been lowered in the front, or am I wrong???

And also, i would only recomend getting the Nitto drag radials for the rear & getting regular Nitto NT555's for the front...Other than that, all the other mods on your list look on point....Good luck!!!!

it looks like a previous owner actually knew something about the car. its a pretty common thing to do, well, on the forums anyway. here's a link to a write-up
http://www.mustangworld.com/ourpics/fcar/wingmod1.htm

also, it looks like you already have the slack taken out of the accelerator pedal via the throttle cable with a spacer at the top of the pedal.
http://www.mustangworld.com/ourpics/fcar/99pedals.htm

btw- i would recommend the mgw short throw over the steeda. its a bit more money but the handle has more adjustability than most.

might also want to check out the Banana Hammock Republic or "BHR" its a place for everyone on the entire forum to shoot the ****..ect.

If you like nextel cup car sounding exhaust then go for it. I love the sound of the slp loundmouth exhaust. But like the other guy said I would go with a MGW shifter But I don't think it is higher I think you can get one for 180 dollars. Just go to www.mgwltd.com and find out.
BTW Nice car and I love black.
