Another new guy checking in....
I have had Mustangs in my driveway / garage my whole life... A few years ago, I got out of them because I wanted to have something that was a little bit more practical for a babyseat... I know... WTH was i thinking!? Since my son was born, I strayed over to the VW scene for a while, and then when I came home from a deployment in 2008, I went and picked up THE foxbody Mustang I have wanted to own since I was 16.
I found a guy in Denver selling his Electric Red 93 Cobra, so it was time to pony up once more.
Since I bought the car, I have been in the middle of seperating from the military, moving home, and getting settled into a new job. Along with a few other things life tends to throw at you, I really have not been able to start fixing the car up to my standards.
I have since settled, and am getting ready to start my Cobra project. My goal when I am finished is a streetable track car that might get driven a few times a month. I have 4 other cars right now, and this is not one I intend on beating up with the daily grind.
In the VW community, I met alot of great guys (and a few gals) that shared my interests in the cars. I hope to find the same here... yeah.... wrenching days and car shows are fun too
