Its a 1971 Slickcraft, 28ft has twin LT-1 crate motors with 80hrs. Whole boat was redone by my grandpa.

GREAT SONG!!!

Looks beautiful. Boats are MUCH better than cars in my eyes. Less headaches no goals to set, just go out and enjoy it. I actually plan to get into boat design out of college. Have owned one since the day I was born (family obviousely) and was going to buy one this past summer, but decided to get the car how I want it first.

On a side note looks like a lot of work went into that. As you and your father probably know, Slickcraft (actually, Tiara as you can see in one of the picks) is a great well known company. They are known for long lasting boats and have a great stand in the mid to upper sized cruisers now. the Slickcrafts were great smaller versions of the Tiara's that took all the quality and made it affordable. That boat must get up and cruise pretty damn well with twin 350s in it. I cant see it weighing more than 9000-10000 lbs, and with those motors (260-300 hp each would be my guess) it could easily be a 25-30 knot cruise boat. Definately looks like a nice boat, and we all know what comes with a nice boat is GREAT times out on the water!

yes it is, I got a chance to take out our jet boat, 90 hp on a tiny I think 13 foot boat, thing hauls some ass! We paid 450 for it needing a motor and it came with a anodized trailer, which we were told the trailer alone was worth what we paid. Then we dropped a JY motor in it and put some new carbs on and 1500 bucks later we have a sweet lil boat. I also just got a wakeboard for it so I can't wait till spring!

1971?!?!! Holy, I would have guessed 1993. THen again Im not a big boat afficianado. Those motors are sweet.. Thats some coin right there. Have fun on it!

Wakeboarding is fun stuff, so is pretty much anything on or behind a boat. I always say forget cars go into boats, and might go look at a boat this weekend near me (30' Silverton, ). You cannot beat being on the water!

They are rated at 350 each so 700 combined, on GPS is cruises at 32mph at 3000 rpm. It's a damn solid boat, my grandpa bought it in the 80's and gutted and redid it in about 01.

Another plus that i forgot to mention is that they are EFI so it helps on the fuel consumption. just sucks that now i have to wait till next year to take her out.

nice boat, makes me wish my dad had kept or 28' carver. i spent about half my childhood on that boat, my dad just couldnt keep up with it though after his mom passed, and sold it off. actually saw it again a couple years ago at another harbor off the river, looked better than it ever did when we had her, and i think they actually got both motors (302's btw) to run consistently too.

That looks like some fun. I mostly sail but I have the 19' Chris Craft for cruising purposes. How far are you from Mac and Ray's? My grand parents used to keep their boat over that way. Good fishing on Lake st. clair.

i think boats are a lot more work than cars are. its more of pita to change the oil and there is always something messing up on a boat. they dont have the saying a boat is a hole in the water that you throw money into for nothing.

the only thing that really makes them more work and money is more then one engine, other then that its the same pain in the ass maintenance. As far as the oil gose you use a pump through the dip stick, takes 10-15 min per motor. you also dont throw money at a boat for nothing, they are for pleasure, same idea as having a mustang and not driving it daily or in the winter.
