OK, so I finally went to the track last night with the new blower among many other new mods and had a blast. I've been wanting to go since I moved to Utah but just haven't gotten around to it until now.

I haven't been to the track in about 5 years so I figured I would be a bit rusty and I never really got the driver mod quite figured out yet anyway.

So here is my best of two runs.

R/T = 0.389
60' = 1.937
330 = 5.534
1/8 = 8.388
MPH = 85.51
1000 = 10.798
1/4 = 12.771
MPH = 115.01

I can't seem to figure out what the DA was at the track last night, but the track altitude is 4,225' Actual 4,400' NHRA Factor and 7,000' to 11,000' Corrected or at least that's what the website says. It was at Rocky Mountain Raceway. The temp was around 75-80 and the humidity was about 30%.

I think I can work on my 60' for sure! I'm running 315-35R-17 MT ET Street Radial IIs.

I'm thinking that with some more practice and perhaps an MM TA/PHB setup I should be able to get at least a 1.7 60' out of these tires.

What do you think?

Nice job. The DA at that track at 9:00 last night was 7106 feet via dragtimes.com The corrected times are in the high 11s/low 12s.

Not bad at all especially for the DA.

What's interesting is that our 1/8th MPH is the same. I doubt my car would trap 115mph though.

Thanks guys. 7000 ft DA is a lot higher than I thought it would be!

What was your 60'? I wonder if the nitrous helps your 1/8 mile mph more than the 1/4 mile mph due to the extra low end torque... What were you launching at?

I love the MT ET Street Radial IIs. They don't have as much sidewall as the 15 inch tires, but they do very well considering the low profile. They were able to get me a 1.9 60' so they hook well enough for that at least. I think I could take them a lot further with a torque arm and some practice, though.

The times above were from my first run of two that night. I wanted to launch it harder on the 2nd run but it didn't feel like it was launching harder, so I leaned into the throttle a little faster and the tires began to slip just a bit and I ended up with a 12.8x et.

I was launching at about 3k rpm. I think I could get a harder launch out of a 3.5 or 4k rpm launch if I can keep the tires hooked. I'm going to move for the torque arm as my next suspension mod if the traction isn't there for a higher rpm launch.

Oh, and I was running the tires at 18 psi. I want to try 14-16 psi next time I go to see how that works.

There is an old school belief that for every 1/10th you chop off your 60" time, you drop 2/10th's off your ET. I've been down that road, and it seems to be pretty accurant. I am old school, 56, racing for 38 years, off and on.
