new tranny, how to go about it???

Ok, I can get a Ford AOD or AODE tranny free. Since my c4 fried, its time to do this right. Now, my budget is $1000.

Tranny
Rebuild Kit with shift kit
Convertor
Shift linkage
Flexplate
Driveshaft

Thats the parts list, im pretty sure thats it. now question.

Do I go AOD or AODE????

Now, I know everyone says go AOD and use certain AODE stuff. BUT I found this. http://www.baumannengineering.com/tcs.htm It turns an AODE into an AOD basically because it is a separate computer for just the transmission. This would keep me from having to get the AODE stronger parts and putting them in an AOD.

So, how would you go about doing this???

i can get the Baumann TCS for $399

Im sure ron will jump in here and tell me an AODE is too much work, just looked like itd be stronger and better for the same price
