I ran a thread about 2 weeks ago seeking info about which wheels would give me the best hook up with my cragar ss 15x 8. After a lot of really good advice, I've decided that I am going to upgrade to 17 x 8. The wheels are American Eagle Alloy 211 (torque thrust II look alike) They weigh in at a svelt 24 lbs and I'm getting a killer deal of 160 per wheel. I'm now interested in what kind of tires you all would recommend. I have a buddy who says Khumos are the best bang for the buck. Others Swear by nitto. Open for input.

I'll try to attack a pic of the wheel.

Very cool!

Nittos are great for a drag radial (only need 'em in the back), I have kumhos on my '96. They are 9/10ths the tire that my badass Firestone Firehawk SZ50's were, but half the price.

I run the Kumho ECSTA Supra 712. I like the tire, especially for the price.

OK I live in So Cal. (YES Bakersfield is technically Southern California, though we'll never be confused with San Diego) We get rain about 3 times per year and never over an inch. Do I really need to go with an all season tire or can I get away with a ULTRA PERFORMANCE SUMMER TIRE. We've only had SNOW that sticks even a little bit once in the last 20 years.

Oh, and you can go with the Ultra High Perf tires for driving in Bakedpataterville.
