The Filter is a K&N... Not sure about the piping.

BTW, question:

When I coast to a light, she drops RPMs and has stalled before, while still in D. But if I put her in nuetral, she'll increase RPMs to about 2k until I get down to about 15-20 mph, then she'll settle at 800-1k to a stop and idle just fine.

Could that be the MAF screen not being in there? The IAC was replaced a couple of days after I bought her.

(I'll post in the Tech section if need be, but hate to start another thread already)

where did you get the car from; dealer or the previous owner? if you got it at a dealer, i would try and get them to give you the previous owners info and give him/her a call. find out if the car was tuned after any of the mods. since the IAC was already replaced, i'd start there. try disconnecting the battery for 10 mintues to reset the PCM as well and see if that takes care of the problem.

Well, I called the shop and was informed that the Muffs wont fit without rubbing on the subframe and the driveshaft without a lot of modification to the exhaust set-up.

Anyone have a suggestions for a quieter than straight-through muff? preferably smaller than 8" wide by less than 16" long overall?

Honestly you probably need to look at a whole new catback if you want to swap the muffs.... thats what I had to do. I got $330 for my used SLP catback on ebay

What sound are you going for? With the X pipe I would go with bassani or magnaflow. Certain X pipes sound good with chambered mufflers, but Im not sure about yours....

I am looking at the Cat-Backs, and MAC may be the way to go. Maybe, though I am still looking at just Muffs possibly.

Mine sounds like a LOUD Wet Fart if I let it tach between 2300-3000rpm on acceleration.

Problem I am having in so far as sound, is that I really cant find any clips online that have a Mach 1 with Long Tubes and an O/R X. amnit:

Sounds like a nice Mach that some idiot trashed with a bunch of cheesy and ill advised mods. Too bad they did not keep it stock. An automatic Azure Blue Mach1... There probably is less than 50 of them in the whole world. Why anyone would mod a car like that is beyond me

Congrats....Nice Mach

Other than the straight through mufflers, I think all those mods are pretty good mods & whats so cheesy about them.

And no matter how rare a Stang is, I would mod it regardless. Stock Stangs just arent that fun if u ask me, & Fords stock ride height is horrid. The stock exhaust is also too quiet. I know Torch red is one of the more common colors, but I started modding mine the 1st week I had it.

Honestly Kilgore, I dont understand how u could keep your terminator so stock. I mean at least I would upgrade the IRS bushings because they have way too much wheel hop.

As far as a catback goes, I would buy a Bassani catback, because it will sound perfect with what u already have & it wont be too loud. They sound sick on the 4V too!!!!

The shop ordered some Flowmaster 50 series and will put them on when they arrive Monday. $55 each is a good price for them too.

I am still gonna find a Catback, but this will do for now.

Sounds good at idle and great at WOT...

...but an Obnoxious Wet Fart anywhere in between.

Got the new SS Magnaflow Cat-Back on this morning.

Oh what a difference. I can talk in that car now, and she still has a mean growl

I'll get a clip up probably tomorrow. Off to Bush Gardens.

Got the SS Magnaflow cat-back on. Not the best sound clip, and I'll get a better one up soon.

Here's one with a startup, then 2k, 3k and a 4k rev. The cam is on the trunk peeking through the spoiler
