I am a new guy to the stangnet forums and I have recently purchased a 1995 mustang gt 5 speed that I will post pictures of shortly. The car is mostly stock with only a modified intake. Other than the 3.73 rearend which I plan to have shortly, what does everyone reccommend for mods?

Swap the intake manifold to a Edelbrock Performer or a Trick Flow and do a full exhaust with long tubes. That should give you a good kick in the pants.

A nice short-throw shifter is always a nice touch. You can do a full tune-up, bump the timing up to 14 deg., slap on some drag radials, and have some fun. Welcome aboard!

I'd consider some 3.90's instead. Cost the same, more acceleration. I wish I'd went with 3.90's when I did my 3.73's...

what are your goals for the car and how much money do you want to spend? answer those 2 questions and then we can help you out more b/c just asking what to do next and your going to get everything from pullies to a superchager for an answer.

Thank you for the replies, I am already going to advance the timing for maximum horsepower. My plans for the car are daily driver, so I want it to have decent gas milage, but still enough power to have fun, about 300 bhp. I have about $2000 to work with right now, so I am open for suggestions.

Underdrive pullies $100.00
Home made CAI w/filter $60.00
3.73 rear gears w/install $400.00
Shorty headers $250.00
Hi-Flow X or H pipe $400.00 (catted)
2.5" cat back exhaust $350.00
Used eddy or cobra intake $400

That total comes to $1,960. This is a great foundation for further mods and should wake the car up but will not get you to your 300bhp. For that you'll probably have to get some aluminum heads and a decent cam. Just my .02.
