Old dude here and newbie, I have wanted a fox body since they came out when I was in HS and finally got one.. I have owned several mustangs but first fox body.

A lot of work ahead of me but I'm excited to get to work!

Great car David, Sounds crazy but you have a nice blue Foxbody. Not a popular color

Thank you! I thionk opriginally the color was Red and it has been painted... Black interior which I like. It will need a new paint job but that will be down the road. Working on getting everything working and then gears first.

I got mine with an “ok” paint job. I spent a lot of time wet sanding the scratches out of the clear coat, and even more time polishing. It’s to the point where I actually get compliments on the paint that is probably 20 years old.
I guess my point is, put some sweat equity into the paint, and the money into the stuff that really matters. You’ll have the best of both worlds……. And when you’re finally done with everything else, then worry about the ridiculous pricing on a full paint job!

I agree, and I think I will do the same! I want to get everything mechanically working and fixed before worrying about paint… that will come last!

I had to fix the exhaust first, it was dumped right out of the headers when I got the car.... so I put the Flomaster Super 10's on there and took them out the back of the car with polished SS exhaust.

Rear carpet and decking was missing, so I made a deck for the rear out of 1/4" plywood and covered the back with new "stock" carpet... (after market)

Next I fixed the stereo, someone had installed a system and used wire nuts to put everything together and only 1 speaker worked. I have them all working after taking everything apart and soldering all of the connections and will add other components later.

Next will be an alarm system also adding the ability to lock and unlock the doors with a remote, and remote start.

After that tint for all of the windows replaced or added.

After that I have a bunch of things not working like power mirrors, speedometer, etc.... I want to fix... working on the list right now, then once that is completed will start looking at performance mods while doing interior upgrades. First on the list is gearing changes (.373) as I currently have stock gears and several other mechanical mods already done.

It will be a work in progress for some time, will get things done as time and money allows.... this is not my daily driver.
