Hello everyone.

In July I purchased a 90 notchback LX 5.0 5spd with 44k miles from its 2nd owner and had it shipped back to N.Y. I spent the summer changing all the fluids and filters and going over the brake system. I dropped and inspected the tank and installed a new pump and hoses while I was at it. I've wanted a fox body since I graduated High school in 84 and finally....at 60 I decided to make it happen.

I'm excited to be here, to be around people who enjoy all years of Mustangs and share their Stories, Tips, and offer good advice.

They’re definitely a reputable speed shop catering to Mustangs. I’m not sure if they’re appointment based, or how they operate. There’s another all Mustang shop close to me as well, Mustang Magic in Deer Park….. all appt except for Saturday morning it’s first come first served. They’re very good as well. I know several people who have used them for a variety of things.
The only experience with RealSpeed is my wife’s cousin having his car on their dyno after he did some work to it.

Mustang Magic in Deer Park did my full exhaust and also my gears (same day) in 2021. I was very happy with their work. No issues during the job or anytime afterwards and the price was super fair IMO.

Another fantastic [all classic cars] shop in Bohemia NY is “Long Island Muscle Car Garage”. I can’t say enough great things about them and the owner Randy who is also a technician. They solved big problems for me quickly and correctly the first time around.

I'm planning on building the car for some fun, spirited driving. On my list for this year are Stifflers or MM sub frame connectors and a regear to 3:55 with 31 spline axles. Looks like flow master force 2 will get the job for the exhaust. I don't want to lower the car too much, so I was thinking Ford B springs with either Steeda pro action or Koni yellow single adjustable. This should get me into the rabbit hole pretty good for this year. lol.. After that, thinking about a stroker motor, just not sure what size to go with.

Thanks to everyone for the shop recommendations.
