OK I tried to muscle a K&N onto the stang that was designed for another car. When I pulled the airbox there was some kind on sensor attached to the bottom that had I had no place to put into the new filter. What the hell is that thing and is it necessary? Grrr...maybe I'll stop being cheap and just get a cold air kit
