Can your multimeter read amps in DC up to 10A? What does that added on relay go to?

I'd start first by dumping codes and see what the ECU doesn't like at the momemt.

Can’t see, but from the oxidation it looks original.

Is there a sticker on the side that says GAY? Serious question. Some oem distributors have this label.

In those pics before I saw three hammers, a crow bar, and duct tape........ so I’d say you’re fine!
And @Noobz347 I think he may already qualify for a CT with that last post

I finally got my Bosch fuel pressure gauge and did the check as instructed on the Bosch test instructions. I have a 1990 LX foxbody 5.0 with some engine build (overhauled, small cam, cobra heads, headers, ect. The pressure initially went to 40psi, or a bit above and then fell below 20 psi in a matter of a few seconds. Any ideas, I'm guessing leak.... duh. lol I hear a funny noise coming from the area of where the stereo was; I took it out. It sounds like a crackling noise. I didn't find any fuel leaking, so I'm guessing a bad regulator or air leaking/injector leak, hell I really don't know.... guesswork! Any ideas are greatly appreciated!
Happy New Year!

Does the fuel pump continue to run, key on, engine off?
pull the vacuum hose off, do you smell gas?
Originally a V8 car?

The pump will run for 2-3 seconds the shuts off
I pulled the regulator vacuum and didn't smell fuel
The car was originally a V-8
I recently dropped the tank, cleaned it, installed new fuel pump and new fuel filter. The fuel pump was difficult to get in, almost like there was not enough room and it was hitting the bottom of the tank. For some reason I keep thinking that may be an issue. Except for, the fuel pressure goes above 40psi (which I understand to be normal) but then drops below 20 psi. I have read about leaking injectors, but not sure if there is a test for that.
thanks for the feedback, much appreciated

Ok, I merged the threads so everybody can catch up,, go back to the checklist, you either missed something or skipped a step,
I believe you have a spark/ignition problem from going back through the thread.
#1 toss that accel coil over the fence into the neighbors yard or the trash can, depending on wether you like your neighbor or not.
Get a name brand coil, standard or echlin, rock auto has a choice, that's my 'go to' parts store.
#2 the fuel pressure may drop off with the key on and the engine not running so let's not pay any mind to that right now.
#3 question: did you check the ignition switch to verify it's ok?

This can somewhat be normal behavior.

When you cycle the key to on, the pump will prime for 2-3 seconds and then shot off. The pressure may spike to 40, but when the pump shuts off it will drop. What it drops too depends on each car and the condition of the fuel pump check valve. On my old pump, it would drop to 0 immediately, but the car ran well for 10 years. Needless to say, I think your issue loes elseewhere.
