It says Motorcraft on it for sure in two different locations. I will check for the "GAY" sticker also....Can’t see, but from the oxidation it looks original.
Is there a sticker on the side that says GAY? Serious question. Some oem distributors have this label.

I recently dropped the tank, cleaned it, installed new fuel pump and new fuel filter. The fuel pump was difficult to get in, almost like there was not enough room and it was hitting the bottom of the tank. For some reason I keep thinking that may be an issue. Except for, the fuel pressure goes above 40psi (which I understand to be normal) but then drops below 20 psi. I have read about leaking injectors, but not sure if there is a test for that.

Thank you, yes how about leaking fuel injectors?This can somewhat be normal behavior.
When you cycle the key to on, the pump will prime for 2-3 seconds and then shot off. The pressure may spike to 40, but when the pump shuts off it will drop. What it drops too depends on each car and the condition of the fuel pump check valve. On my old pump, it would drop to 0 immediately, but the car ran well for 10 years. Needless to say, I think your issue loes elseewhere.
