Newer style Gauge cluster with tach for a 1966 Stang

Was curious if anyone knew where to find a new style replacement gauge cluster for a '66. I've seen some show cars, instead of the original cluster with 5 gauges (speedometer being the bigger circle in the middle) but a cluster with a tack built in, making 6 gauges (Tach and speedometer being the same size). I saw one aftermarket piece that wanted something like $800. Anyone seen anything cheaper? Thanks in advance for any help

I just bought one of these gauge clusters from Haneline with 6 white face gauges. It should get here in a couple of days. They look to be almost exactly the same thing that Mustangs Plus sells, but a little less expensive.

I did buy the optional wiring harness for the gauges, which was 70 more dollars.

66 gauge panel

I made mine out of about $15 worth of sheetmetal and round stock.

I tried to send pics but they keep coming back "too large".

Took a piece of 1/8" x 2" flat stock and bent it around the inside of the stock dash bezel opening. Just hand formed it until it fit. Butt welded the ends together. That gave me the basic shape. Didn't want just the 1/8" edge so I took a peice of round stock and bent it around the edge and tack welded it in place.

The piece with six holes in it is just 1/8" flat stock. Traced around the outside of the new bezel and trimmed until it fit.

About two nights worth of work and alot cheaper.

I will send the pics to anyone who can post them here.

I never bought one. Stuck with the original style, but I will dump money into a classic tach that matches the interior.

I have a little Sun Pro tach that was in the car when I bought it. The previous owner zip tied in to the column which is O.K for the time being but I wanted something that fit and looked a little nicer. Thanks Guys

Uh..Anything a little more detailed on the bezel you made?

What size round stock?

Dash bezel

I think I used 1/4" round stock but it may be 3/8"diameter. I'll check this week end.

The trick is hiding the tack welds so you can't see them while in the car.

I thought the car was pretty straight but "my" body guy just rolled his eyes and said it needs work.

Hopefully I'll have it back together late May.

I'll get some better pics of the bezel this weekend.
