Next mod?

Of course you would want boost all the time! Unfortunately superchargers are alot more $$$. The nitrous is easy accessable in most areas and good for budget racers. Even if you supercharge the car later, the nitrous will help out for cooling. The nitrous actually burns cooler and will lower the temperature of the engine, which is the reason why you see people who run blowers with a small shot of nitrous.

Do some research on nitrous and what you need to safely run it. By the way, watching Fast and the Furious is not considered research in my book! :thumbs up:

I agree, nitrous is a blast to have and probably the best $/hp mod in this price range. If you're like me though you want the power there all the time and don't want to keep filling a bottle. I ran a zex kit for about a year, it made driving a whole lot more fun, but I got sick of always running to get more... just me.

Yea I really don't want to have to keep refilling it. Besides, if somebody with nitrous wants to race me, I tell them fine, but we have to go more than once. I don't want them to be able to do the same thing to me. lol

I guess I will probably save up for some heads since they will give me what I want: gobs of power, all the time. I'll probably do control arms after. What would the heads do for me power-wise and in the 1/4?

If you hit a shot of nitrous you might change your mind. I am considering it myself. The only thing is that it won't be all the time, that is why I am suggesting heads. I was running thumper's with B cam, I ran 8.4 at 85mph, with a motor with between 30-50% leakdown by the piston rings. I am going to get them re-valved with bigger valves, rebuild the engine, and put in a better cam, then save for nitrous. Probally put on a set of welds to get rid of this 40 series sidewall in favor for a 60 series, MT Drag Radials, maby a 4.30 gear.
