Nice chop, but side exit exhaust won't happen due to a factor in the underbody design, I forget what specifically. I think it would also look better without the driving lights in the grille, maybe in the lower air dam more like current Cobras.

Why does everyone keep saying this? The race car that was built on the Discovery Channel show Extreme Mustang had side exhaust and so did the GT-R.

And those were race cars, it is not possible with the production car due to the location of the fuel tank, unless you wanna put pipes through it

The race car (Boy Racer) on the Discovery Channel was a race car, so it didn't need mufflers. Same with the GT-R. No mufflers. Appearantly there isn't room in front of the rear axle for mufflers, which is why everyone keeps saying there cannot be side exhaust. It's also why you can see the mufflers under the rear bumper on the 05. On previous models, the mufflers were in front of the rear axle, and from there you cold route the tailpipe either to the sides or over the axle to the rear of the car.

On the 05 you would have to run piping over the axle to the mufflers, then back forward to go out the side.

This picture shows the mufflers behind the rear axle.

Sweet pic! Just woundering how Rousch is going to accomplish the side exhaust if there is no room. It's not a race car so it will need the cats. The pics I saw of it still had the side exit exhaust.

I hope the Cobra looks more like the GT-R concept. That looks nice, but it's too GT with a different hood and bumper.

That looks a lot better than the standard '05...but we know that ALL car companies never give the people what they actually want! I love duckbutt tails.
