ok, let me chime in since im the one who told nacho about this...

a few years ago, i remmeber reading the ford referred to our cars by a certain name, like "predator" or some crap like that, just like ford referred to the 03/04 cobra as terminator.

i also remember seeing it on some stupid myspace mustang quiz thing about a year ago. i know its out there, i just cant remember it.

Yeah that was another internal ford name, along with sn95. I've never heard the term predator before

I'm glad other people see their car as not being a something to name after a woman. I've been trying to explain this for years to people, and alot of people just don't understand that no woman could do what this car is capable of.

I've named mine appropriately...."my boy"

over on the black mustang club, there are so many people who have given their mustangs names, for example ... "Rebekah", "Danni", "Sheila", "Black Sunshine"

you could not force me to give my car a name like that

i think they are mostly females over there

The mean green camaro eatin machine?

Its hard to come up with a GOOD name for a Mustang. Sally is way too cliche'

I have a buddy with a 383 El Camino, and we call it the Hell Camino. I like that name.

then what would you call the 96-98s? the SN-95 signifies the body/chassis not the engine. Fox-4 is the only other name that i've heard of for our cars.

Chris, black sunshine is actually a White Zombie song. The beginning of the song is a little speach about a mustang

"Gripping the wheel his knuckles went with desire. the wheels of his mustang exploding on the highway like slug from .45. true death, 400 horsepower of maximum performance piercing the night, this is black sunshine."

damn pro u've got a nice voice.. jaja (get it) if not I did and i laughed

about the 5n95, we know it's for all the sn95 but that's how he denotes it so there's no confusion about it. 96-98 are the red headed stepchildren, so i saw in a magazine.

I'm pretty well versed in the nomenclature and designations.

It's a nickname for the car, nothing more. Our cars are referred to by the SN designation more often than the chassis revision, so that's the term I tried to modify.

I've been referencing them on the threads for a couple years as such and people seem to get it.

BTW, I could care less what the 96-98 guys or the NE guys call their cars.

Haven't heard that one, but it might have been Ford's internal 'code name' for our cars. Much like 'Terminator' was the 03/04 Cobra's, and 'Condor' was the new GT-500's. Officially, however, I have always heard SN-95.

the project name is SN95 because of the new frame... the sketches had different names...It came down to three very different Mustang mockups for the final '94 style, nicknamed "Bruce Jenner," "Rambo," and the winning mockup, "Arnold Schwarzenegger."
