Does anyone here race these things. I'm getting one for sure, but I don't know exactly what I want yet. I'm thinkin' about the HPI Savage 25. My friend has a Savage 21 with the 25 motor.... and it is BAD. I wanted one as soon as I got to drive it. It is 4WD and will do around 40MPH. Anyone else have one of these?

My neighbor and I go to our local track on Sunday morning's usually (not in the summer though).

He has a 4WD Mayhem buggy with a .26 motor.

I have a Team Associates stadium truck with a .15 motor. My truck gets him off the line but then his motor turns into an indy car. His does almost 60MPH. Mine tops at 38MPH with the stock exhaust and 40MPH with dual tunable muffler.

Used to race them when I was a kid, I have a plane with a .40 motor and I'm going to stuff that bitch in a 1/8th scale before I die and clock it on the highway...

can you say camcorder? I have a 1/12 scale chassis but I don't want to custum make the tiny drive gear I have for it... might mount it on a fan until I can find a suitable chassis though... I need a clutch/brake pack and need to make a bracket to hold the motor as well...

I was into the electrics for awhile...never did get into the gas ones but my buds did...We made a track in my garden in the Fall...I body slammed a jumped real bad and busted my buds new gas truck....He was not impressed.... ....They are a hoot though...talk about dropping cash.....those freakin things can suck up some money fast to tweak em...just another bad habit, so I got out...

I alway look on Ebay for one of the Cobra's, when I'm bored...Would like to do one up just to beat on it in the driveway...

I have a team Associated TC3, its got a little .13 engine (i think), but its 4wd and handles real nice. I stripped the flywheel last yr and havent touched it since. I probably ran it all of 2 hrs, period. Should prob fix it & sell it. :/

I bought one today! I didn't get the HPI, though. I got the Traxxas T-Maxx Top Fuel. 2.5 motor. 4WD.

GreenMustangGT, do you know much about these? Mine seems to be running a little rich. I leaned it out a little, but still rich. It's only running at like 160*F. My friend's runs 270*-300*F. The biggest problem I'm having is shifting. I don't know how to adjust the shift points yet. Apparently, it's different than the HPI stuff. It screams in 1st gear .... and gets so uncontrollably fast, I can't get it to shift before having to stop, or crashing into something. It's even hard to get it to shift while holding it in mid air at full throttle (it takes forever), so I know it needs to be adjusted.

This thing is so much fun!!!
