Nitrous buttons in stock steering wheel

i want to put my nitrous and purge button in my stock steering wheel. Where the cruise buttons are. It doesn't work. Has anyone one done this? What is the best way to go about it. I am pretty good with metal. I am going to make a couple pieces to fit where the old buttons are. And put a push button switch in it but the wiring is my problem. I have to turn the steering wheel, eventually, right? can I use that coiled wire?
Thanks

Did you use the OEM 3 contact slip ring to convey power to and from your nitrous button?

Or are you trying to use the OEM buttons for this? The entire CC circuit works off of varying resistances from every button (kinda like one-wire door locks) - I wonder if that is holding you up.

Good luck.

A push button nitrous switch is a bad idea. You should wire an arming switch and have a WOT switch. It is much safer. If for instance you take your foot off the gas pedal but don't off the switch you will probably destroy something. Don't wire up a nitrous system like a ricer or for that matter like you see in the movies. It is a bad idea.

no,no,no. I havn't tried it already. I have a WOT switch already. I am using that and a push button. So to spray I have to hold the button and have my foot to the floor. also what kind of plugs should I be running with a 100 shot, ported and polished iron gt40's, 24 lb injectors, and 10 degrees of timing. Can I afford a few more degrees of timing? OH AND NITROUS ****ING ROCKS. I AM FROM THE SOUTH, MY DAD IS OLD SCHOOL HE BELIEVES THE SAME THING. ALL MOTOR. Not me I am a believer.

naah, i beat a local "fast civic" that "has nitrous" at a 45mph roll..to me it's cheating, but thats just me.

Not to me. Its just another mod in my eyes. I also don't care to lose. Some guys get crazy mad when you beat them. I could care less. If you car is faster than mine I am glad because mines as slow as piss.

10 degrees of timing initial is smart. Basically a safe nitrous tune is 2 degrees of retard on the timing for every 50hp shot of juice. As for spark plugs use Champion RC-12-YC or equivalent. For gasoline remember you want to be running 92 octane or better. Don't go above 32 degrees of total timing.
