I have heard some internet gossip about 25 shots of Nitrous netting like 75 hp at the wheels on SC's can anyone confirm this? If this is true would a tune be in order?

you think a 25 shot would blow the motor?? I don't see why...as bolt on mods can add more then that...why do you feel this way?

Seems to me it would be a good way to drop the temps and allow more timing to be put into it. Nitrous is being used more for its cooling effect, but you still get the extra oxygen boost too. Doesn't sound like fake hp to me. Pretty much the same thing the methanol/water kit is supposedly doing, but I’ve heard those only work on centrifugal blowers. Whether a stock 2v 4.6 could handle it is another thing.

Three years ago, TJM01 fed his Series II blown 4.6 2V an unmetered 35 shot via the intake. He gained 137 RWHP and 127RWTQ. His motor was built and had cams, headers, etc. I don’t think he ever permanently set up the motor with Nitros. Shortly after that time, he acquired a 2300 Whipple and I lost track of his progress from there.

I have seen import cars as well as many domestic cars get well over 100 rwhp on the dyno with 25-50 shots of NOS.
If you want to see a cobra on the dyno testing a 50 shot of NOS and blowing the manifold off, go to streetfire.net and do a search for "cobra notrous manifold".

I agree with the other responses above; use NOS to cool your charge temp.

You certainly would need a tune, but would yield great return. The horsepower might not be as high as you labeled, but your torque number would increase very rapididly. Although getting a 25 jet system is not very popular, so getting the 50 shot would be more easily obtained. No such thing as fake horsepower IMO. Looks good for car shows as well

An S281SC on juice?? I associate NOS with steroids to a bodybuilder. Sure it makes you look good now but what are the side effects?? Damages the body permanently or in this case the internals of your engine. And you gotta keep taking it in the *ss weekly for it to be affective or in this case your wallet to refill the tank..... Personally, I'd rather just stay naturally blown

So, if you were to add it, where would you place the nozzle?? How would you position it to cool your internals vs. otherwise? Maybe an ignorant question, but you might save me a lot of $$ going a different route.

I've seem them installed on the inlet tube, after the MAF just before your intake hits the upper inlet for the blower.
