I have a 06 GT and want to increase the power more than a couple of bolt on parts like intake, tune, and pullies would create. And what I realy want to do is get a supercharger but I am on a budget and dont have 6-8 thousand dollars to spend. So I thought a nitrous system would be a cheap way to make my car just as fast. But I know nothing about this and dont know what the repercussions are for putting nitrous on my car (like will it ruin my engine?). Give me as much feedback and opinions as you guys can.
Thanx

i am also interested in this.

i have a few questions too if u dont mind.

is it legal to have in ur car without the bottle being hooked up to the lines?
which is the best kit - i am looking at Holley NOS who just released a kit.
will i have to buy any other parts not in the kit - fuel rails? spark plugs? a pack for the bottle?
and how is the instal.

i have a friend who is in 2fast2real(if anyone heard of them - they are a big crew here in suffolk) who will be helping me

i will be running it in the summer and it is my first time... just had a few questions.

thanks, didnt mean to thief ur thread but figured u would be asking these same questions.

ps. happy 420!

I am in the process of getting the ZEX system. It has been tested at a local shop with good numbers. Yes......... you have to be very careful when using nitrous and how big of a shot you will be using. With the 05-06's I have been told that a 75 shot is safe and can be used all day long. Using a shot of 100 or more you are going to run a moderate risk of doing damage to your engine. If you are going with a nitrous system I would consider using ZEX and with all of the goodies Bottle warmer, remote opener, purge kit ect. . Check out the web site.

No snazzy repliy here for ya....LOL

NOS now has a kit as well. Make sure you go with either of those type specific kits. The new S197 has a returnless style fuel system. Good luck to all of you and fight the temptation of putting in the big jets!
