i know its not a mustang but i was thinking about doing something like this ls1 trans am at the track on friday. he has a completely bone stock motor w/ automatic, and runs a 50 shot right off the line and the second shot joins in on second gear and bumps it up to 175 all together. with the ET streets on it he ran an 11.4.... i really couldnt beleive it but its got me thinking about differnt nitrous setups you could do. anyone have a setup similar to this?

That is called a 2 Stage system, I assume he had a plate or a duel nozzle set-up. The first stage was a 5o shot then the second stage sprays on top another 125 for a total of 175. You can activate the second stage in many ways, WOT, buttom, delay timg, controller etc..

NX, NOS, all sell these kits.

This is comming from a Nitrous Junkie so you can believe what he says.

Rick, I havent talked to you in forever, I thought you went and left us. Glad to see ya around again.

I wish I had a nitrous fill up closer, that way I could have a h/c/i with nitrous. Nitrous is so mean.:worship:

do you know of any 2 stage setups for carbureted applications? Also ive been reading that you can use a 150 shot no problem on a 5.0 but was wondering if you need to do anything with the fuel pressure? im sure the timing need taken down a bit.

NX make a 2 stage plate, NOS makes one the double cross or if you have the cash Wilson Manifolds/Pro-Flow has the best set-up. It was waht I was going to run on my D/R car but I think I am going to go a different route.

Wilson makes the plates with burst panels, so if you have a backfire it blows the panels out and not your intake or carb. If you decide to go that way a friend of mine is a dealer....the 2 stage plate only with everything in the above pic is $1200 plus

You se the fuel pressure up to the correct pressure and leae it alone, it is best to FLOW the system to accuratly set the pressure. This means using a flow tool to set it all up.

Dave I still post a good bit but have been very busy with my car and side work, lots of changes

Well I am giving a guy a shipping price tomorrow, if it falls through I'll let you know. The 2031 cam I have for sale came out of my dads Cobra, ran great with the blower and will pass emissions, but really needs the 1.7 rockers since it was ground for that.

Geez. I thought it was just me. It is contagious. I dont see how I will have the time or money to really race like I want to. So why even bother? I dont like to do stuff half ass. I am full ass or nothing.

It is not even a speed issue, just the fact that with work I cant make it to the track every weekend.
