Ok ive been doing so much research about blowers my head is going to BLOW......I was sitting here on the phone talking to My dad and I said im going Nitrous..He just laughed..He said thats what i said a week ago...I wanted to do something different...But..Ive had great results with being bottle feed....,,Ive used it alot on previous cars...so im no stranger to it,,,I just need to know what kit is good for my 93 GT.....Also what type of shot would you put on it? Can i leave the stock fuel pump? I know to go 1 stage colder on the plugs gap them smaller...I know to retard the timing...So this the best way to go...What will this car run with a 100-150 shot...its a Convert,auto..so it it heavy...THANKS for any advice....

the plate kit will be more "efficient," if you will. i'd like to pick one up for my car, but can't find a plate system for a cobra intake for less than $1000!

I'm running a ZEX 125-150 wet shot that I converted over from another vehicle. It's not a plate kit, but I'm working with what I have. You will definitely need to put in a bigger fuel pump if you are running nitrous. The stocker will barely cover bolt-ons let alone a 100+ shot of nitrous. Just drop in a 255 and be done with it.

It's not necessary, but if you like to run advanced timing normally when not on the bottle, you could get some type of ignition with a timing retard for nitrous so you can have the best of both worlds. Other than that I'd say find a kit you like and have fun. What else has been done to the car modification wise?

I have a 93 GT auto vert so I was in pretty much the same boat as you are. I run a Trickflow wet plate kit, the kind that goes between the upper and lower intake, and you can see the rest of my mods in my sig. The car went from a 14.00@100mph NA to a 12.72@109 with a 100 shot. Still on the stock fuel but it will be upgraded to a 255 lph high pressure pump, I have the pump just haven't installed it.

The Trickflow kit is nice, basically a Nitrous Express kit that has the bottle painted orange. It is adjustable from 50-200 and if you buy the larger NX solenoids it can support 300. It comes with pretty much everything you need except a bottle heater and purge kit. I would recommend a pressure switch controlled bottle heater that way the bottle stays at the same pressure all the time and the heater only comes on when it needs to.

Here is a link to the kit. The only issue is that it only comes with a plate for the TFS intakes. They don't make a plate for the GT40, Systemax or Edelbrock intakes.

125 is about as high as I would go on a 93 block. You can go higher but the tune needs to be spot on or you can risk damaging a piston if you have detonation.
