Ok I'll be the first to admit I am not the smartest when it comes to fixing cars. :shrug: Heres my situation, I have a nitrus kit hoked up 50-175 shot and last night at the street races in Phila I ran 2 cars. I lost to some wierd thing from japan that they were saying was bone stock. I think it was a nissan pulsar with a twin turbo but I think it had something else as well. I also ran a 01 cobra with some work which I ran al the way up to 5th gear neck and neck and the second race I got beat out of the hole. So I then decide its time to finnaly break in the nitous but it wouldnt work. It has a full throttle switch that fell off. My question is can I change the system from a ful throttle swith to a simple button inside the car? How hard would this be? Is it a simple as runnin a few wires through the firewall? Any help would be greatly appricieated. :hail2:

I don't see why not. That is how most nitrous systems work, it's just not as idiot proof. Just you will have to be more carefull when it is engaged.

See im thinkg a button on the inside would be better than the full throttle, I can easily let off the button. If I miss a shift with the full throttle switch then its gonna redline, shutoff, puddle the nitrous, then probably blow my intake 50 ft up in the air when the car kicks back on.

I am not by any means a serial street racer. Once in a while I run a car. Very rare, I dont sit there beating up my car al night long. This past weekend was the first time in about a year that I ventured to the street races.

Nitrous is not flammable! but if mixed with fuel vapor it makes the fuel more combustable

yes just run the wires through the firewall, if 5 spd. get a button on the shifter and also put in a extra switch for the button so you do not hit it on accident

wet or dry kit?

also if its not working;
make sure the bottle wormer is working, feel the bottle and make sure its worm. The nitrous has to be between 900psi.-950psi. to work. Make sure there are no gaps between the bottle and the wormer. pull out nozzle and spray it to see if its working(dry kit)

I am really a novice at this so I have no clue what I am doing. Now I am sure the switch fell off and I have not tried to fix the switch. However I did notice that the psi was around 600psi when I turned the bottle on. This is a problem?
