don't kno much about nitrous. My main question is can you safly put it on a stock gt engine, and what do you need to do to make nitrous safe? The best quote about nitrous i have heard was "nitrous is like a really hot girl with std's you kno you want to hit it, but there will be concequences." so any information would help

if its installed and tuned properly and you have the right componets with it, it is fairly safe. You need an rpm window switch to make it safer. I personally wouldn't put it on my car, to many freak things happen.

:nice:

the key is "Proper Tune" have it done at a good shop and have them tune a kit that you want. window switch is also a good key, so is a bottle warmer.

The Modular 4.6 motor can handle a 150 shot of nitrous with stock internals and the necessary equipment of course. Anything more and you will need forged pistons and a better fuel system. Be careful with plastic intake manifold. :)

"can" handle is debatable, some take - it some don't. he's wanting to be safe so a nice lil 75-100 shot would be the way to go IMO, with a tps switch, window switch, & a nice tune to go with it & you're good to go :nice:

IIRC, I remember posts that were talking about the difference in HP gains between brands. I think the NOS kits were getting something like 75-80hp with their 100 shot while NX was very close to the actual rating. You may want to check that out too, but its been long enough since I researched it to give you exact numbers.
