No Dash Lights

This is bugging the crap outta me, I start my car one day and the dash lights don't work! When the headlights are on the indicator works and the turn signal indicators work but none of the illumination on the dash turns on. I checked all the fuses and they're fine, any ideas what It could be?

Its on my 87 GT.

Bad dimmer switch. If someone tapped the dimmer switch wiring to power an accessory, it can take burn out the dimmer switch very quickly.

I agree. Sometimes playing with them can get you to a spot where it will work again -- for a little while.
