Well I got to messing around with the dash and lighting. Bought all new bulbs for the dash lights, 1895's i believe. I used a test light to see if the connections were hot for the lights and they are and even the dimmer switch works, but when I put all of the new bulbs in, none of them work. One the of bulb wires was not hot, so could that screw up the rest of them? Any other suggestions? I'm just wanting to stick with the stock gauges and lighting for now. Also the gauges seem to work but the Temp gauge goes all the way to "H" right away and stays there, does that mean my engine is running really hot or that the gauge is off. The AMP gauge just stays in the middle, The Oil goes to "F" right away and stays there, but I think the Fuel gauge works. And the wires work both ways on every gauge except the AMP. I'm kinda confused. Thanks!

Not really sure why the dash lights arent working but as for the gauges i'd say you have the temp, oil wires switched.

The dash has to be screwed in to ground it properly for the lights.

Just went through some gauge troubleshooting myself. To see if the wires for the gauges are on the wrong gauge (like my oil and fuel were) you can either look for the color of the wire at the senders or you can also disconnect the wires at the sender and ground them to the body and the gauge should peg. If you disconnect the sender wire and the gauge goes to zero, it could be a wiring short seems odd that all three would be shorted. Hope some of the hints help anyway

Got the new bezel today so I just put in two screws and the dash lights work. Have'nt tested the gauges again though, but I switched the AMP gauge with another set of gauges I have and hopefully it'll work tomorrow. Thanks for the help.
