I have a 97 Cobra with newer spark plugs(FORD factory plugs). My RPMs only reach about 1200 rpm below redline. What could this be? Engine has 75k miles.
So it is going to 5500 then doing what? Is it revving fine to 5500 then just stopping? Is it slow getting to 5500? Does it sound like it is cutting out?
Well, after checking it again it only gets to about 4900-5000 rpm. It just cuts out and sounds like what the actual redline sounds like at the exact same rpm range everytime and stays right at that mark if I slow down a little then it picks back up.
