No luck trying to find a "fun car" for the Wife

Well for the last couple weeks, I have been looking for a "fun car" for my wife to drive on nice days. She doesn't drive my car because it's a stick. She'll only drive an automatic. I really don't want to spend more than $5K but I am very picky on the overall condition, mileage, etc. so the looking has been tough.

1st - we were watching a local fox body being sold on ebay:

Found out he set the reserve at $8K so I didn't bother.

2nd - my wife has always liked Thunderbird Supercoupes so we started looking for one. Found a BEAUTY:

Got outbid ( I should have bid higher). Dammit this one was nice. I was stupid to let this one get away.

She is stuck on an Automatic Mustang GT or Thunderbird Supercoupe.

Yea - I know but she thinks they look like a boat.
She knew someone when she was in high school that had an SC, and she loved to drive it. Ever since then, she's wanted one.
She's willing to "settle" for a Mustang

Those Marks are badass, man. Or the old Cadillac ElDorados are very nice too. I always wanted one as a kid, I got to drive Pops' when he had one and loved it.

I used to have a SuperCoupe and that thing was really nice as well. VERY comfortable car, I'll never forget that about it.

I had an 89 SC and I used to live on SCCOA.com - now I'm hooked on Stangnet!

The SC's are nice cars. Unfortunately, they have a few problems that when they go, they are going to cost you either a lot of time or money to repair. The Mustang is a much more enjoyable car to work on!

Thanks for the heads up. I checked out SCCOA.com but they had nothing like the ebay one I lost yesterday.
