No More Ottawa Cruise Nights!

Hi guys,

Graham who is in charge of organizing the Wednesday night Cruise Nights at Place D'Orleans in Orleans said the car show will not happen this year (2008). Not at Place D'Orleans anyways. Apparently the management at Place said no more because of music being played too loud (ricers), and dangerous driving when vehicles leave the shows (usually not members of the actual car show, but actually spectators in their own vehicles). Any vehicles that show up this year will be asked to leave by the mall security.

From my understanding, Graham has been actively looking for another place to host the show for 2008. I would hope someplace in East Ottawa.

This is sad indeed, guys! I know some of you guys here attend, as do I. I also attend the Kanata Cruise Nights on Tuesdays (which, as of right now, is still scheduled for 2008). This is basically the only other weekly car show in the Ottawa area.

You guys don't have a local Costco parking lot in the Area? That's where we always end up hosting ours on weekends.

We have a local car meet, but it's "not official" and it's whoever just shows up. It's 80% import though, and there are many many ricers. So ... I very rarely go.

We pretty much have just two weekly car shows in Ottawa. That is the Orleans show (now cancelled of course), and the Kanata show (still on, every Tuesdays in the Summer).

yeah heard about that this sucks for those who go there all the time.
