No Power Steering, No A/C, No Smog Pump...?

Hey All,

I droped the engine in the car this afternoon and was getting to think about how the acces. belt is going to work on this engine.

I am running no PS, no A/C, no smog pump and I don't have an idler pulley...although I don't think the car had one. All I have is the alternator, tensioner, water pump, and crank. The alternartor and crank are grooved and the other two are not.

Has anyone ran this setup before? If so...how did you configure this to work properly?

Thanks,

Brett

I agree, EWP's are worth 10rwhp/10rwtq across the powerband, and that is about the average with every car with one. Since you need the bracket anyways, might as well go all out.

I wouldn't spend the money on the March AC delete, it's not worth it (I tried it). I went with a www.stewartcomponents.com standard rotation water pump ( any standard rotaion pump for a 79-85 will work) and a ASP grooved water pump pulley. If you have underdrive pulleys you'll probably need a 44.5" belt. I have an overdrive alt. pulley so I used a 43.5" belt. You can check "my garage" or my stangnet sit for pics.
