Have an 88 mustang gt. Converted to mass air and converted to 5 speed. Everything worked fine. Nothing rigged everything done right way. Ran good just not enough pony for my likings. So had the bottom end looked over and everything new bearings plugs rings etc. stock forged pistons. Then went with tfs 1 cam and edelbrock 60379 heads champion plugs, new sve mini starter from lmr, new tps sensor, new bbk long tubes, msd distributor and coil. Its fuel injected. 24lb injectors and bbk 24lb mass air meter. Had a machine shop redo the bottom end and i put everything together. My first time doin anything this in depth. But read lots, ask car ppl i know lots, and watched plenty of videos.
So now to the problem- i put everything together and in and she just whirled. Restabbed the distributor fired up ran ab 20-30 min. Shut it down to check everything out fluids etc, get back in and it just whirls. Mean time checking grounds looking for any plug in etc. still nothing this has been ongoing for ab a week. Itll randomly fire and start. Today i went to work come home for lunch it fired. Left to go back to work wirls. Got off work fired up wirls the rest of evening. Things ive done.
Clean salt n pepper plugs, check grounds grey strap from firewall to head along with the ground that comes off injector harness. Ground of batter to fender apron to plastic plug for computer. Ground to timing chain cover off negative cable. Fuel pumps primes and im getting fuel. When it just wirls i check spark and have none. Used a tester and plugged it into coil wire. I used the injector testers with the light and it pulses when cranking. Ive switched to my old tfi module, made no diffrence and i tried my old coil made no difference. Have voltage going to the distributor plug in. Have voltage going to the coil plug in. Im stumped any help would be greatly appreciated.
