i was wondering how long the 302 block stock could handle a shot of 75 and can it stand up to constant use or just a few times

It all depends on the power the block is seeing before the nitrous.

Thats such a loaded question. The block is iffy around 500 rwhp or so but I have seen quite a few hold 200 shots in person and online. Even seen a stock block 331 launch off of idle on a 200 shot a few times before blowing a head gasket. 75 shot if done right and not on a worn out engine will be fine.

Depends if its forged or hypertetic.Forged will take the abuse alot better.Im running a 306 with 175 dry shot 90,000 miles on motor. Never had problems from the spray. 75 shot no problem!

The tune up is real important too...back the timing off and run the correct heat range plugs (Im not a big N02 guy) and your fine with a 75 shot.

The hyperutectic wont deal with detonation but they will hold a 75 shot if all else is fine. Barry D on TurboMustangs.com made 620 rwhp on a stock hyperutectic short block, the block split and the pistons were fine. If you touch detonation though, the hyperutectics will die with the quickness!
