Ok so my car has done this since I got it but im noticing it more now that its getting cold. When I sharply press the gas pedal the car kind of bucks and clunks forward a little. When I sharply release the gas the car clunks and kind of bucks back and forth.

I know the common "clunk" issue with this transmission along with all the other wierd things it does but is my problem normal or should I have it checked out?

Sometimes that will happen to my car. Its the sudden jolt of power combined with drivetrain slack that will cause it to buck at lower speeds most of the time. It could be a misfire, but the clunking isn't related to that... just driveline slack.

It's not good but a pretty common thing. You shouldn't jab the gas at low RPM's unless you are in first or second gear only, it puts alot of load on parts. Not saying that you do, but just as a heads up...:nice:

Range is usually 500-3000 RPMs so yeah its at the lower range. I read that these cars have A LOT of slack in the drivtrain and are susceptable to backlash noise. I figured thats all it was but I figured Id ask some people who know more than me.

So then I guess Im fine? Wouldn't hurt to check the bushings though right?

Thanks for all the help guys.:SNSign:
