Okay before I go overseas in June I was gonna get my girlfriend a promise ring. We think were too young for engagement...so anyways I found a ring that I know she likes but I can only get it in a size 8. She is either a size 5 or 6. Is it possible to get it resized; its 14kt white gold. Thanks for the help guys.

Maybe its just me but I dont see the point of a promise ring.

Just save your money for an engagement ring and buy it when the time is right.

BTW, how old are you? My brother is 19 and he got engaged last month.

Nothing wrong with a promise ring. I gave my wife one before the engagement ring. She still wears it, its been on her finger for about 15 yrs now. I would tell you for sure how long, but I would have to ask her

As far as the sizing, look around you may find a jewelry store that will resize the same day. In that case, give it to her and then make a date to go to jewelry store to get it resized or sent off. It usually only takes about 4-5 days to send it out. Don't think you will get the perfect size when buying it without her fingers there lol.
