noob changing plugs

Remove the smog stuff! (if you can in your area) It makes them much easier to access. I've never had an issue with the EGR tube, though.


Even when I DID have smog on my car ..... swivels and extensions proved to be the best and quickest way possible.

remove the smog stuff? do you guys know if PA requires it?

Not sure. But if PA is like NC .... it's all "county-specific".


Best bet is to check your local laws if someone doesn't chime in to let you know. There should be a website available to tell you ..... :shrug:
 
I just removed the intake tube and the smog hose assembly by untightening 3 hose clamps. Then with a swivel and a whole lot of extensions, yo can get to the plug without any major effort. Didn't have a problem with the egr tube when I did it though.
