Used 03' or '04 Cobra with the extra 5g you have.

You'll shut them up stock and have much more room to grow in the future (when they start modding to catch back up to you).

I'd buy a 99+ over a 96. Then you already have PI heads/cams which makes a big difference. Pre 99 4.6s make a lot less power stock.

I thought the same way when i got my car. Now that i think about it, if i was to do it again, i think i would get good condition 96, since then are dirt cheap, then done PI swap.
U see, i didn't realise then that i have Tinkertitis. its a condition that you just can not leave crap alone. U have to tinker with it endlessly just get good night sleep. I like taking crap apart and put it back together, and thats just that.
I could gotten 96 for half the money, and spent $1000 or so on PI parts, do the job myself, and do headers and such. It would be faster then my car with same mods, but i would still be cheaper then what I paid for my car stock

And i think i can make ore 99 look just as nice as mine much cheaper...

Once I add 4.10's I'll be close to your goal. That being said, I had to do a lot of modding just to KEEP up with LS1's. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE my car, but in all honesty, if I could do it again, I would have saved a little long and bought a '96 Cobra. I'd be owning STI's and LS1's by now if I'd done that. You should REALLY think about waiting for a Cobra because the 4v is a MUCH better engine to start out with.

IMO I love my KB, it won't cost you $5geez, and you'll still get 20plus miles per gallon. Call these guys, tell them Rob sent you, get the KB TUNER KIT (without the chip, injectors, etc) and let JMS supply those. Dealing with KB's customer service is hopeless. www.jmschip.com
