Hey there fella's. I picked up an 03 GT this weekend. It appears to be in great shape. 28K miles on it and everything looks and feels tight. I'll be dropping in to get tech advise so I can mod in the right order and ask questions etc... My first is what kind of RWHP/TQ are these things putting out? I was planning on starting easy with CAI and exhaust. Does the 5 speed respond well to tuning? My 04 GTO is an auto 4 speed and driving the Mustang is fun. I'm not looking for huge power because it's the wife's DD but modding is addictive. I'm not trolling nor do I posess a GTO vs. Mustang mentality...so please no flaming unless it's all in good fun. I really enjoy this car so far. It's my first Ford/convertable and I'd like to keep it a while. Thanks in advance for any imputs and advise.

Check out the new person's thread at the top. It's got everything I could possibly think of throwing at you for ideas.

There are a lot of great people on here, with a fair share of asshats, but you'll get the hang of it and ignore them like the rest of us.

For some reason every time I read "asshat", it cracks me up. I guess it's the visual.
And yeah welcome aboard. That sticky thread referred to earlier is a good starter. Once you get some ideas from that, give us some specific questions. I think you'll get more responses that way. But from your post it sounds like your goal is just for a fun ride and the pleasure of working on the car by modding. So my suggestion would be exhaust work for sound and a little hp, short throw shifter, it's more fun and has a sport car feel when shifting. Those are saturday mechanic type mods that make a difference. Also look into some gears, for a daily driver stick 3.73 and auto 4.10 IMHO. I'm gonna stop suggesting now because I could go on and on. Just some ideas for you. Good luck with your decisions and ask away.
almost forgot the look good mods. Around these parts, we are partial to Mach 1 chin spoilers and grille deletes with deep dish bullit wheels.

Welcome to the board. Another great website for learning about Mustangs is www.bullittarchive.com

Also MPH forums is good as well

Have you ever street raced? I do it every chance I get but I kind of feel guilty about it

Thanks for the welcome. I do think the shifter will be an early mod. I appreciate the fact that guys like to share knowledge to us "less informed". Everyday on a forum is new info learned.
