Just want to double check my gauges....

Can anyone tell me what the normal range is for
oil pressure and temperature ?

I am running a 302 without a fan shroud at the moment...

do you have after market gauges

A nice temp is around 190 or so, and oil pressure at idle should be between 20-30 i think, and like 60 when driving ????? correct me if im wrong guys

I think he's asking what everyone's factory gauges are reading so he can compare them to his.

Mine doesn't run so I can't help ya there.

In the green part? They are inaccurate: some might run in the middle while others will stay 3/4 of the way over. Don't worry until they are low in the range.

Exactly.... I have factory 66 gauges and the restoration is 99% complete and I just want to double check what is cosidered "normal". Just trying to get a range.... I think 190 for the temp is about right. If anybody has any pointers on the oil reading I am a happy camper.

But you cant tell if its "190" with the stock gauge I would imagine that half way and up would be good for the oil pressure.

my aftermarket oil guage reads 30 psi at idle when hot, around 35 40 cold, and at driving speed depending how hard im on it its about 60..so mustangman70 was exactly right, so just compare your mods or suck to mine and that will give u an accurate reading, my aftermarket temp guage reads at 190 running temp and gets around 200 because its florida and too damn hot!
