NOT mustang related but audio problem

Today I was helping my buddy trouble shoot a stereo problem with his 92 Honda Civic Si and something went wrong. The original problem was the left side of the car wouldnt play any audio whatsoever, so we pulled the aftermarket deck out to see if everything was connected properly. To our amazement, it wasnt, the wire for the left hand side of the car wasnt connected. So we connected it and tried the deck out to see if we fixed the problem. WEll we goto turn on the deck and NO POWER to the deck at all. We checked all teh connections and undid what we did and nothing still. We even bought another wiring harness and hooked it up to a different deck and still no power whatsoever. I checked all the fuses and nothing, none of them are blown. I checked the cigarette lighter(it runs off the same fuse) to see if it worked and yes it did. There is an odd thing tho, for some reason the clock is showing up very dim and we have no idea why and im not too sure if the clock is related to the radio in any way or not. So this is where we are at now and we dont know waht do to. The original honda harness and wiring looks mint and its not the wiring we did cause its all new now. Does anyone have any idea what it could be? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

We got the deck to work now but we have a problem. The deck and the clock will not keep there memory. When you turn the car off, then on, the clock says 1:00 and the deck is in Demo mode. Now should we switch the 12v ignition and 12v battery wires to see if thats gonna solve the problem? Or does anyone have any other idea why its not keeping memory?
